After taking the #54 CORE Autosport PC car to the class lead in the Rolex 24, engine trouble forced me to pit lane where the team determined we had suffered a rare engine failure. It was certainly a tough way to start the 2016 season, after showing great promise leading up to the race. After winning the Rolex 24 in 2014, it was a tough way to exit the race. That being said, the CORE Autosport guys did a brilliant job to give us a spectacular car at Sebring and we certainly capitalized.
It would end up being the perfect weekend that CORE Autosport needed to get back into the hunt!
I wish Jon and Colin continued success in the upcoming sprint races before I rejoin the team for a test and Watkins Glen 6 hour event July 1st.
